Astron Shreeder shaft replacement
Zerma Shredder Rotor
This rotor is part of a shredding machine used in the recycling of plastic.
The rotor is driven by a SEW Reduction Gearbox.
At the time of the modification, the machine had had three gearbox replacements ($25k-18k).
There were also regular main drive shaft failures.
After modifying the drive shaft, extending the shaft and fitting an outrigger bearings there have been no mere failures.
This modification was done in 2019.
